I can certainly understand the trepidation with Sarfate's looming start this afternoon, but. . .just a gut feeling that he's going to pull off a comparative stunner, e.g., 5 or 6 really strong innings whilst the Birds give Lord Chamberlin something to ponder as he hits the showers early.

Dan, in all fairness I got that from The Dugout, who gave Sarfate that moniker when he was traded from the 'Stros.

I like S'Forty though and wouldn't mind cracking open one to numb his first performance as long as we're not doing Edward 40-hands, or as Wade Boggs calls them: Tuesdays.

At least Schmuck isn't half as hypocritical as Chase Murray. You have to check out his blog's about section, which states emphatically that "he hates blogs" and refers to his blog as an "online column". FJM really went to town on him a few weeks back. Hysterical.

Actually, I don't think its hypocritical so much as dragging your feet as much as possible before you finally join the party and discover that the blogosphere is a cool place. I think it's, like a lot of problems, just a matter of not understanding your enemies as much as you should or could.

As far as Schmuck goes, well, here's his chance to embrace the "new media" he's been known to dislike. Hypocritical? Maybe, but we'll forgive him if he's good. Just get us the inside news and we'll get along just fine.
