More Sports Radio Coming?

According to one of my favorite sites, DCRTV.com, the local sports media might be on the verge of a shakeup:

DCRTV hears reliable rumblings that Baltimore could soon see another sports talker on the AM radio dial. In addition to WJFK-AM (1300) and WNST (1570 AM). More soon…..

First, DCRTV has a very good track record for reliability. If they’re quoting reliable sources, I’m inclined to believe it.

Second, Baltimore is not big enough to support three sports radio stations. The arrival of a third would mean that something has to give.

Then again, there exists the very real possibility that this new station will suck, and the two we have — neither of which suck, despite their problems — will march on like nothing happened.

Interesting news either way.
