I guess. I couldn’t stand that they complained about not having Orioles over constantly (I guess they have a very good point, but still I really don’t care about hearing from Jeremy Guthrie about how nice it is to bike to the ballpark everyday or whatever) and don’t care if I hear from the athletes or not.

That said, it was good to hear that Ray seems to be getting healthy (even though he wasn’t a great interview) and that he should be back before the end of the year successfully.

Also: Bob Haynie destroys Anita Marks when it comes to everything. So letting Ray talk to him instead of anyone was nice to hear, too.

Chris Ray was on the air on WNST? That’s some relatively ground-breaking shit, right? Or does that rule only apply to active roster Orioles?

The key phrase being “immediately available”…but you absolutely have to like the starting corps we have down in the minors. We’ve all heard the names before: Erbe, Tillman, Arrieta, Bascom, Penn, Spoone, Renshaw, Beato…I’m definitely most impressed with, obviously, Tillman and Arrieta

Don’t get me wrong, I like the guy too and I hope he does play here. I’m just saying we’re not doomed if we don’t get him.

We have great depth in relief this year and that’s why our record is so much better. We still don’t, however have any legit starting depth that is immediately available. Hayden Penn is doing nothing to say, “Hey I’m not washed up at 24″. Can’t believe in this kid until he shows us something. Liz and Olson are already up due to Adam Loewen and Steve Trachsel. Johnson is staying put. Albers might find a way into the rotation with Bierd and Loewen coming back and Cormier doing a nice job out of the ‘pen. Jon Leicester is no good. Who else is there? You can never have enough pitching.
