You know, if we added maybe one impact bat to replace …say, Millar… and two impact pitchers to enforce the rotation alongside Guthrie, replacing say Brian Burres and Adam Loewen from this year’s version…we might have ourselves a team!

If only…

Huff is a legit cleanup hitter and has gone from overpaid dead weight to one of the biggest bargain power threats in the game. Baseball is an amazing game. With a decent hitting shortstop, we have a hell of a good lineup. Something to hang the old hat on, I suppose.

Love seeing Jones go deep, also.

And that’s exactly what he’s done, for the most part.

Funny…when I saw the headline of this thread “The Streak Ends Here”, I figured you were writing something about the O’s streak of generating at least 2 million in home attendance coming to an end this season.

Then it dawned on me. Somehow, someway, they’ll wind up above 2 million when the season ends.

I’m not sure how, but watching it unfold will be interesting.

And you’re right about the “on field streak”. It’s coming to an end tonight.

I’m genuinely excited about next year and, even more so, 2010.
