It wouldn't really matter one way or the other whether he approves of the idea. I'm pretty sure I'm not going to do it, though, mainly because he counts as part of the community and it's a different situation.

I meant to say that I called the O's win last night, not tonight. In a hurry at work so my boss doesn't walk in. Sorry.

Well it wasn't 4-3 but I called an O's win tonight.

They won't be so lucky tonight as our ace in the hole (Colon) gets to go again.

7-5 Sox tonight.

The question is, will Okajima pitch if necessary? The Orioles have killed him this year.

BTW, I e-mailed Drew Forrester yesterday and asked him if would object to being part of a media vote here but he didn't respond yet. I'll let you know if I hear from him.

Willing to play for free my ass. He isn't donating his salary from the Orioles, just his minor league contract salary. He's still making $11M over the next two years, what's $350K to him?

He's just trying to show everyone he's got what it takes to be a major leaguer again, and first the foot has to be in the door. I would be willing to bet the charity thing would end after the Orioles stop paying him.
