Good for Jonesy. Should have gone to Markakis like every other year, but we all know right fielders don't get this award. Jones' defense took a bit of a nose-dive this season, but he still made some ridiculous plays out there and he's obviously capable of being a steady gold-glove caliber guy out there. More than anything, though, it's about recognition. FINALLY, some national props.
Reply - <a href="#" class="quote" onclick="quote('32217','dan the man','Good for Jonesy.
It's just a shame that while I'm psyched to see Jonesy get some big-time recognition, it's gotta be for one of the biggest jokes of an award around, and it's a double shame that while his defense is terrific, he really didn't deserve the award this year.

But then, neither do most of the award recepients. Baseball's dumb this way.
Reply - <a href="#" class="quote" onclick="quote('32216','Andrew','It\'s just a shame that while I\'m psyched to see Jonesy get some big-time recognition, it\'s gotta be for one of the biggest jokes of an award around, and it\'s a double shame that while his defense is terrific, he really didn\'t deserve the award this year.\r\n\r\nBut then, neither do most of the award recepients.
