Orioles Notes
Not a bad game Sunday night, huh? I think we can safely say that the December 27th matchup in Pittsburgh will have heavy implications. Probably a safe bet that it gets flexed to either 4 pm or the night game, too.
In the meantime, the Hot Stove is starting to simmer for the Orioles. Nothing of real note yet, but a few tidbits.
– Rumor has it that the O’s inquired about Kevin Millwood. I doubt there’s anything to it. If there is, it’d be interesting to see what kind of package Texas is looking for.
– One of Andy MacPhail‘s right hand men is off to the Mets. You always want your front office staff in demand. This is a good sign.
– Nice team roundup from USA Today. Nothing there that we don’t already know, but it’s solid.
– Mariners fans are conflicted about Erik Bedard. If I were them, I’d want to cut my losses. If I were me (us), I’d definitely want him back in Charm City…at the right price.
– For those of you in the area, Nick Markakis and his wife Christina will be in town on Thursday to light the christmas tree monument down in Mount Vernon. Pre-event ceremonies begin at 5:30, tree lighting starts at 7.
it’s the MONUMENT LIGHTING neal…the monument lighting. you need to get out more.
*chuckle*
D’oh. Fixed.
The Dec. 27th game at Heinz Field can’t be flexed to the 8:20 NBC game.
Week #16 is never flexed at night.
Leave it to the professional to help you out.
No charge for this one.
@df1570 – I’ll be happy to leave things to a professional — give me his or her name when you meet one.
In the meantime, I appreciate the info.
