Thanks, Camden Chat
I have a real nice post coming up later today about Colts-Ravens, but in the meantime I want to send my thanks to Stacey at Camden Chat. She did a nice writeup of The Loss Column over on her site, including an interview with yours truly.
It’s part of a whole series she’s doing where she profiles other sites in the O’s/Baltimore website-o-sphere. Very cool, indeed. We’re all more or less in this together, after all.
FYI fellas, tonight on the MLB network (213 on the glorious DirecTV) a special on the 1979 season is being shown.
At the time, the Orioles were considered juggernauts and primed for a dynastic run of championships but the Pirates came back from 3-1 down to upset them and stifle their season to season momentum. They didn’t get back to the series until ‘83.
I always dig seeing footage from bygone eras. Seeing the old advertisements for Pabst Blue ribbon, extinct department stores, etc. just does something to me.
And then there are the shots of the crowd, you know, from back when people looked interesting.
ahhhh back when the world series wasn’t a “hard bought battle”
heard that term today. loooooove it.
Neal, thanks so much for participating and for such great answers.
