I was reading some of the other O's sites and thinking about Opening Day (it helps salve the wounds of snow) when all of a sudden 2005 came rushing back. The fast start, the optimism, the weird (but very fun) post-game handshake ritual. I wonder how different things might have been if the Palmeiro steroid scandal hadn't derailed that season.
