@neal s - I just checked the site on my little samsung phone. Site looks much better on there than it did. I especially like that it snaps to the comments when I click the comments link.

@Andrew - Ahh, gotcha. I'm probably a tad defensive on that issue based on conversations we (not you and me, but the general "we") have had here in the past.

@neal s - Oh no. That's not directed at anyone at any time. It's just how I feel generally any blog should be. I love it here, and I love the slightly off-kilter focus. You know that.

@Andrew - I'm not sure where you're going with that but if it's meant for me I'll say this: I've never felt particularly shy about expressing my opinion. That's what this whole thing is. My style, though, is my style. I'm not Jim Rome and everyone would see right through it if I pretended I was.

It's not for everyone. I'll grant you that.

I'm definitely not going to tell anyone how to do anything, but from my perspective, the opinion is what counts. I don't think it's enough to just say "this is what happened. That's cool". You need to express an unapologetic opinion. If you think the Ravens are thuggish and that needs to be fixed, say it. If you think the Orioles ought to fire Trembley, go for it. If you think the Terps' recent accolades defines them for the past few years or whatever, shout it out. And don't be sorry that you feel that way.

That's why I never hesitate to tell you that I don't think player acquisition X or why I think trading player Y was such a smart move. That's how I feel and if it runs counter to everyone else I really don't care.

The only thing is that you need to show your work and tell us why. Like I said, saying "it's a smart pickup" isn't enough. There's no real opinion there.

Anyway, that's my two cents.
