The Loss Column — Baltimore Sports Blog and Community

The Loss Column is a Baltimore-based and focused sports publication with its finger on the pulse of sporting matters across the country and world. We exist to provide intelligent, original commentary and analysis on a regular basis, and to have fun while we do it.

The name comes from Orioles radio announcer Joe Angel, though he probably doesn’t know it yet. At the end of every O’s game he says “…and this one is in the ____ column.” Unfortunately, the blanks are more often than not filled by the world “loss”.

But when it comes down to it, the Loss Column is a fact of life for any sports fan. Suffering through the losses is what makes the wins so enjoyable. That, in a nutshell, is why we’re here. It’s all about the process.
